About Me

c.jpg

My name is Françoise Harper and I was born in France and lived there for most of my life. I have been a professional teacher for over 25 years in various middle schools and high schools in France, and over my career I have organized multiple cultural trips to many European countries, led several international exchange initiatives for the European Union Programs, and developed diverse training courses for adults in all sorts of careers. I have a master degree in teaching French as a foreign language, and I am a certified language teacher.

In 2012, I moved with my family to Atlanta, Georgia and continued to give private French lessons to interested students there. After a few years, I joined the Alliance
Française of Atlanta in Roswell in 2016. As part of my job for the Alliance Française, I taught lessons to adults at all different levels. Then, I became the full time manager of the Alliance Française in Roswell. For this new position, I was required to organize all the classes, develop cultural events, and meet all the needs of the clients and teachers. Today I live in Ohio and continue to teach French classes online and in-person, as well as at the UCBA.

A favorite pass time of mine is painting. I have painted all my life, and have explored all there is to know about pastels, oils, acrylics, and more. To see my work, visit my artist website.
